How to install WordPress on XAMPP. If you want to install WordPress then you are at the right spot/place this post will help you through all the procedures step by step. You require a server to install WordPress on localhost, so you must also install XAMPP.
What is WordPress in this digital
world?
WordPress is very simple and most famous
to build your own website. It is open-source CMS (content management
system). Building and running your
website, it's a powerful tool. WordPress is a great platform for creating a
variety of websites.
What is Xampp?
XAMPP is a short form for Cross-Platform,
Apache, MySQL, PHP, and Perl. Programmers can write and test their code on a
local web server using the well-liked cross-platform web server XAMPP. It was
developed by Apache Friends, and anyone can edit or change the native source
code.
Wordpress is installed by following
these steps.
Step No:01
Firstly, we need to download XAMP for the installation of
WordPress by localhost. Go on browser and write XAMP local server download. https://www.apachefriends.org/download.html
Version;
7.4.29/PHP 7.4.29 Download XAMPP (64-bit) depends upon the latest
version of bits of the computer.
Step No:02
After downloading the XAMPP, to install XAMPP open it on your PC. To proceed further with wordpress work we need only Apache and MySQL, we just start Apache and MySQL.
Apache and MySQL database servers
are running now. Its means our localhost is ready now.
Step No:03 Download WordPress
To download WordPress we do a Google
search. Download WordPress, then click on the website and open the page https://wordpress.org/download/.
Scroll down the page and click on
download as shown in the figure.
After completing the downloading the
WordPress in a zip file so now the extracted file to htdocs folder under the
XAMPP as shown in the picture below.
Right-click on the WordPress zip file and
click on extract here file.
After performing the process rename the folder name according to your choice.
Now the WordPress file has been Placed in the XAMPP local
server. Now it's time to install and configure WordPress on the browser. For
this, open your browser and type Localhost/favouritename of the folder after
typing this it will take you to the WordPress configuration page. It will ask
you to select a language and then click on continue.
After clicking on the
continue on the next page.
Create a database for WordPress:
It is shown in the figure above that we need a database for
WordPress installation so all the data save on your database. For this
purpose, we will open any browser and type the URL:
localhost/PHPMyAdmin.
Now PHPMyAdmin is open so we will create a database by clicking on
new
It is shown in the picture above after clicking on the new option
of create database will open now, we will write or database name and click on create then it will be created. And
database name will appear on the right side of PhPmyadmin.
Step No:04
This is the screen you have now:
Now enter your Database Detail here: look how to put the detail in
this:
1: Enter
your Database name first
Remember that database has a username and password by
default
The default user and password are:
2: Root
3: Null
(Database has no Password so leave it Empty).
Step No:05
Click on the submit button.
Step No:06
After that, a window will open with the button to run the
installation then click on the Run
Install button. AS shown that below the picture.
Step No:07
Now you get the interface like below:
Here you are, now write the Site Title,
Username, password, and correct e-mail. And then click on install WordPress.
Now
click on install WordPress.
Remember
that the username and password are used to log in to WordPress.So do not forget.
The
screen is open right now in front of You like this which is given below.
Click on the login button.
Now add your login detail.
Finally
your WordPress dashboard is open like this
Hence you approach your WordPress dashboard.
Whenever you want simply write this.
Open the tab on browser and write localhost/favouritefoldername/wp-admin
